Lee-Roy was at the Humane Society with his two seal point siamese sisters. When Eric
entered the room, the tiny black kitten flung himself at the front of the cage reaching for Eric through the bars while screaming
at him. There is no mistake about who picked who!
A genius among cats, he teaches the other cats how to open doors, drawers and cupboards.
He is a linguist. He has learned to make every sound the other cats make.
In his rambunctious youth, he would carefully tip unattended cups and glasses over to watch
the liquid pour out.
As a kitten, he got tangled in the curtain he'd shredded and cut his skin all the way around
his hips before Eric came home from work to rescue him. The fur grew in white after it healed creating his "racing stripe."
Lee-Roy loves attention and is a good sport when the camera is pointed at him, even if he
knows the flash will be too bright!
Sadly, he developed inoperable cancer in his windpipe and had to leave us. He
was a phenomenal cat and has left a huge hole in our lives.
